branch necklace

My daughter, Jaymes likes to build things with clay. She is really good at making things with hands. I am very proud of her. I took sculpture classes when I was in Academy of Art College. I enjoyed it very much. I am very attracted to anything looks like branches. So, I made the branch necklace with clay the while she was making her flower. I also love porcelain branch, branch hook, and this necklace from etsy.

Have a wonderful weekend.

taking pictures

My son does not like to try on cloth and pose for picture anymore. I made him tried on many different things including the dress too often. I know it's not fun for a 3 years old boy. My nephew visited us last weekend. I made them dress Smallville cloths and took some pictures together. They did not mind.  They were having a fun. They thought it was playing dress up game. It was a good weekend. I hope you did, too.

Plaid raglan top is available at etsy or online shop.

weekend sewing

Thank you very much for leaving sweet comments on the last post.  I started this blog to share little things I make everyday, but it wasn't easier than I thought to share with you.  I often forgot to take picture of WIP and I'm not good at writing things as you know.  I have a few more easy project to share with you in the future.

I made the raindrop capri pants for my son and the simple rope dress for my daughter. They wore on the Father's day.

DIY [oversized tee shirt]

Every year, my daughter has been end up getting a giant school event tee shirt. I think the school rather order more bigger size than small. That way it's more versatile for any body. She loves her school shirt, but I couldn't stand her wearing a huge shirt even just in the house. Last night, I asked her if I can make it as dress and she was happy about it.

It took me only 15 minutes. Find the any fitted shirt or tank top you already have in you closet and use it as pattern. Lay flat top of the oversize shirt starting from the neck. Draw the lines leaving half inch seem allowance. Fold the shirt and cut it from shoulder to bottom of the shirt. Next, serge or top stitch side seams except leaving the arm holes.

Ardenwood Historic Farm

My daughter started her summer break. So, We visited Ardenwood Historic Farm in the East Bay. It's about 20 minutes driving from our house.  There was many baby farm animals, lambs. kids, calves, and chicks.

I wish I can move to the country side and live like a farmer someday. It would be nice to have a big outdoor place for my kids. My husband's heart is in San Francisco. I have tried to convince him to move many times and the answer is NO. I don't mind moving to different places.  Oh, I am dreaming of moving to somewhere new...

Union Street Fair

We went to Union Street Fair in San Francisco last Sunday. It was very crowded. We walk around about 30 minutes and I was already tired of passing by all the people bumping each other. We had a lunch at Mels  and we took kids to the Moscone playground  at the Chestnut Street. I had more fun at the park with my kids.
